Job Description:

 

Position Description:

Under the direction and supervision of the ODC Supervisor, the ODC agent is responsible for all aspects of assigned accounts by processing NVOCC shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. Assist with duties related to document preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process goods through customs and affect timely delivery.

 

 

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that all contract documents are complete and conform to corporate policies and regulations
  • Tracking/tracing of shipments
  • Receive, review, and process NVOCC documentation such as B/L
  • Prepare reports of transactions to facilitate billing of customers and carriers
  • Ensure to book vessel arrangement that will meet branch’s requested schedule
  • Review all entries, client invoice packages and file record keeping prior to submitting to supervisor for payment and final review
  • Work with other Nissin branches and departments
  • Data entry using Nissin operation systems
  • Ensure cargo delivery is on schedule
  • Ensure that all documents are in proper order scan, fax, and file documents
  • Handle pick-up instructions and sends arrival notices
  • Handle file preparation
  • Provide excellent service
  • Other duties as provided

Experience and Skills:

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, some college coursework preferred
  • 1-2 years of industry experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems
  • Accurate Data entry skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must have strong math skills
  • Ability to lift are minimum of 20 lbs. unassisted
