Job Description:



Position Description: The Supervisor, Customs Brokerage team at Los Angeles will be responsible for leading a team of customs entry writers to ensure that quality customer service and ensure customs clearance processes are in place for key customs brokerage accounts. Prior customs brokerage knowledge and managerial experience is required to supervise, train, and lead the customs team.



Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Handle accounts you are assigned to as the person-in-charge (PIC)
  • Supervise and assist your team with questions in regards to clearing Customs, invoicing entries, troubleshooting daily issues, interacting with clients to resolve issues, and develop a relationship with.
  • Check each desk daily to make sure the team is current on their entries keyed in and transmitted prior to arrival, billing on time, etc.
  • Any other duties, as needed.


Experience and Skills:





  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; Associate of Arts degree, preferred
  • 5-7 years of customs brokerage and management experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment; ability to multi-task priorities, as needed


  • Experience and knowledge of Customs requirements In regards to clearing freight
  • Experience and knowledge with PGA’s including but not limited to FDA, USDA, etc.
  • Previous experience with supervising a team on a daily basis


  • Microsoft Office applications, Excel
  • Accuracy with Data Entry; detail-oriented
  • Must possess good workload organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
